IslandMan Triathlon L

Swim - 3 km ( 1.87 miles )

A 3000 m straight line course will take the swimmers from Calanque St Pierre, on the Ile Verte off La Ciotat to the exit ramp of Plage Lumiere; from there off to the bike park @ Esplanade Langlois. Transportation to the island will be provided by the organisers.

 

Bike – 80 KM ( 49.7 miles ) with 1100 M D+

This course takes you through the Varoise forest; The ride starts along the beach before rapidly tackling a 10 km ( 6.22 miles ) climb towards Ceyreste and the peak of Col du Grand Cannet ( average grade of 4.42 % with a maximum of 10 % )
Next is the Var with an easy, long and slightly undulating plane before descending towards the village of Signes.
Riders then head towards Meones les Montrieux, via the Gapeau Valley before heading up to the village where they will start the reverse itinerary.

The ride is fairly demanding and we encourage the riders to survey the course as to maximize their performance.

 

Run – 20KM ( 12.43 miles )

This level course, along the sea consists of 4 legs of 5 km ( 3.11 miles ) each along the beaches of La Ciotat.

Turnaround will take place along the famed Cinema Eden, the oldest theater in the world.

Registration fees will be scaled on a first come, first served basis:

  • First 200 : 110€
  • 201 – 400 : 130 €
  • 401 – 550 : 150 €

Island Man Triathlon Relay for 2 or 3 : 150 Eur

The competition Pass is mandatory for non licensed FFTRI ( relay and individual )

  • 6.30 am – bike park opens
  • 6.30 am – bike park closure
  • 7.45 am – pre race briefing
  • 8 am – ISLAND MAN starts ( 2 lanes – Men + Women/Relay )
  • 12 pm – estimated arrival time for winner
  • 4 pm – estimated arrival time for last finisher
  • 5 pm – Awards ceremony

  • 9.30 am – SWIMRUN starts
  • 10.30 am – estimated arrival time for winner
